A message from the Founder,
Greetings,
The Facts of Life Outreach Community Based Programs was born from a deep well of compassion and a fervent belief in the transformative power of faith and love that all started with my parents. Many years ago, I was inspired by a calling deeply rooted in faith and a strong foundation in family ministry. Growing up, I witnessed the incredible impact that a community could have when they came together, driven by love and compassion, to support one another in times of need. It was clear to me that this sense of unity, this unwavering commitment to one another, could bring about profound change in the lives of those less fortunate in our community.
My parents always told me and my siblings we were all a part of something much greater than ourselves. We were part of a divine plan, and our duty was to serve, to love, and to uplift those who were struggling. With this realization, the vision for the Facts of Life Outreach Community Based Programs was born. We continue to grow and expand our programs as the demand of the community increases. We are not merely an organization but a movement, a testament to the potential for positive change when love and faith drive our actions.
Our commitment to providing health and wellness fairs, weekly meal distributions, Juvenile Court Service support, hospice/nursing home assistance, the weekend Powerpack school program, prison outreach, and financial literacy programs is a reflection of our deep-seated belief in the importance of service and compassion. It's our way of sharing the love we have for our community and lending a helping hand to those who need it most. We've formed partnerships with businesses and organizations like USDA Feed America and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, resulting in vital support for thousands facing food insecurity. This collaboration has only strengthened our belief that together, we can overcome any challenge and make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
In conclusion, Facts of Life Outreach Community Based Programs was born out of a profound belief that faith and love have the power to transform lives. It was established to bring our community together in unity, serving as an embodiment of our shared commitment to compassion and service. As we move forward on this incredible journey, I want to express my deepest gratitude to my husband, Alexander Brooks, Alexis Brooks, volunteers, and partners for being a part of this extraordinary mission.
